whoops… It was a mistake.. Corrected

I think the copyrights are sold to the TV channels… Not 100% sure though. I remember seeing such copyright fight for world cup telecast, which sort of revealed that a particular channel had all rights, and that channel was selling the broadcast.

But even if thats the case, the reason for BCCI to remove those videos was not to protect their copyright (because then they would remove lot other videos. Remember the Yuvraj six sixes?), but it was to snatch the freedom to criticize Ganguly.

Hi,
Did you deliberately misspell Sourav or was that a mistake??
I fully agree with you that its painful to see such notices- the youtube ones-, however, the fact of the matter is that BCCI indeed has a copyright over those videos, probably arising from the fact that the test match is being played in India.
Correct me if I’m wrong
